Have you ever been engaged on a twitter chat? If you haven't, well, let me just briefly say your missing out! It can get pretty intense, but incredibly interesting; plus, you meet some amazing people and who knows you might even stay in contact with them. Let me tell you about one... On twitter if you type in #stuvoice, you'll find yourself in a highly engaged chat. This chat basically consists of incredible people who all seek the same goal: to spread wisdom about students having a say in the way they learn. Having a chat every monday from 7pm to 8pm, my friend and classmate Pedro Sanchez met the founder of stuvoice-- Zak Malamed. Unexpectedly, we skyped with him during one of our breaks from working on our documentaries. Pedro, Karen, Carolina, and I all sat down and skyped with Zak for more-or-less and hour; chatting up about the possibility of joining him on his stuvoice-live on September 20 in New York. It is going to be a huge conference where people will all share their experiences with their engagement with learning-- students and teachers will be able to learn and share from each other. This is is incredible! However, while we talked to Zak, what stood out to me most was the way the four of us talked about the Innovation Academy and what we do. We all burst out of our seats like kindergardeners getting the chance to help the teacher out with a simple task. This to me was astonishing because it just comes to show you that we actually care and are proud of what we do! You don't see this regularly in students at school, maybe a few but not all of us. This especially relates to what Zak is doing in Stuvoice chats and so it would be amazing if we could join him in New York and help spread this wisdom of student engagement.

Cool stuff Stefan! Thanks for taking the time to reach out to people to share your experience in the IA. Education needs some long-awaited innovations and having students spread the word and fight the good fight is vital!!
