Schools out and summer is here. What am I going to do? Well to start of my summer I got the lucky chance of going on a trip with one of my best friends and his family all the way to Vail, Colorado to ski during the wonderful holiday of Christmas. I had a whole fun-packed week to wake up early and go ski all day. I was able to practice my skiing abilities and not only that but I reached my goal in being able to ski a black diamond. It was such an adrenaline to ski my first black diamond. I remember looking down the mountain and seeing 3 slopes leading all the way down to the gondola. These 3 slopes were very steep, not only that but they had numerous amounts of moguls. I was so nervous because earlier I tried to overcome these moguls but every time I did I found my skies poking at the mogul, sending me flying into the air and face first into the snow. As my friend went first to go down the black diamond I studied how he moved round the moguls. So I tried to do the same, bending my knees lower than I would usually do and leaning forward with my ski pole in my hand I soared down the mountain. At every mogul I would create the sharpest turn with both of my skies, weaving around the moguls until I reached the bottom. I concentrated everything on reaching the end. At one point I made such a sharp turn that I started skiing backwards in terror. However, I somehow turned my body around with my skies without falling and kept going and reaching the bottom of the mountain with A lot joy!
